In the period between 28th March and 1st April 2022, short term student exchange hosted nu the 4th Demotikon Pefka Primary School from Thessaloniki, Greece took place. Students from all partner schools took part and enjoyed the great activities that continued as follows:
MONDAY 28TH MARCH Students and teachers arrived at school. The Greek Erasmus group welcomed the partners at school, offered them their presents and then introduced the 7 Greek girls who were in charge of the activities with students. The group was divided in 2 sub groups who participated in 3 activities. 1. watched the presentations each participant school had prepared for the Easter customs 2. read stories of Hans Christian Andersen and made drawings on the fairytales 3. were introduced to Webquests and then read online the fable The fox and The Stork. The students in mixed groups of all participant countries, played a game to match adjectives and feelings. Then they watched an interactive video and answered the questions which were embodied in it. Based on the crosscurricularity of the webquests, students discussed in groups the importance of having a good friend and the qualities of having a good friend. Finally, they wrote the moral of the fable in their own mother tongue and all together they created a short presentation on jamboard: https://jamboard.google.com/d/13sdb52GUpmerU7rbCGEDnnhXu-g1Q3i5yuyqpSOQUJg/edit?usp=sharing TUESDAY 29TH MARCH On Tuesday, all partners did the following: 1. decorated the Erasmus corner with pictures of famous writers and fairytales from their homecountries while students played games together in the schoolyard 2. they were presented with traditional Greek folk dances from the 6th graders. 3. they participated in a traditional dancing workshop where all participants taught the rest groups a dance from their country and students and teachers danced all together. WEDNESDAY 30TH MARCH The following activities took place: 1. While teachers had a meeting on the project’s future mobilities, students played games in the yard. 2. then they all visited 4 different classes, and were presented with traditional songs, activities. 3. watches a dramatization of the book POLYXENI, a story on how a little girl with learning difficulties and disabilities faced discrimination at school from both her teacher and her classmates. 4. they made crepes 5. concerning the Webquests, they were introduced to international poetry, Haikus and wrote in groups their own Haikus on world peace on padlet: https://padlet.com/fanisfilios/ac8it8hv9mhodrzr THURSDAY 31ST MARCH The following activities took place: 1. all participants were presented with videos they had all prepared and sent to the host school on traditional games of their homecountries. 2. at the schoolyard, they all played games together. 3. they went on a tour around the area Kastra, the medieval ruins of the castle, the GentiKoule, an ex-prison, now working as a museum and the Monastery of Vlatadon FRIDAY 1ST ARPIL Students and teachers went on a guided tour of the Roman monuments of Thessaloniki, the church of Ag. Dimitrios, the Rotonda museum, Galerius Arch. In the evening the farewell dinner was offered to the partners in the area of Ladadika |
